Graytill has designed a heavy duty Parallelogram Double Disc Unit to suit your new or existing seeder.

The Graytill PDU is a compact yet heavy duty disc with a parallelogram design that gives excellent ground following without compromising on strength. The parallelogram design allows the disc unit to gently ride up and over the rocks with very little backward movement, while maintaining the correct disc and seed tube angles.

The double disc unit features large 18-inch discs for outstanding rock handling and reduced wear rates. The leading disc is scalloped for improved trash handling. The disc hubs feature a sealed maintenance free bearing for reduced down time and maintenance costs. All pivot points on the parallelogram unit feature self-lubricating bearings. There is not a single grease nipple on the entire assemble, greatly reducing maintenance time.

The PDU is available in 2 versions, a Side Gauge Wheel (SGW) unit and a Rear Press Wheel (RPW) unit. The SGW features a steel gauge wheel bolted directly to the disc, which controls sowing depth. The steel wheel provides exceptional performance and durability in rocky terrain.

The SGW is ideal for sowing pastures at a fixed depth. Having the gauge wheel mounted directly to the disc takes the guess work out of getting the seed placement correct, and it gives perfect ground following, even in the roughest of terrain.

When planting cereals at a deeper sowing depth, the gauge wheels can be removed and replaced with smaller wheels for deeper sowing.

Where the sowing depth needs to be changed constantly, the RPW unit is ideal. It features a 75mm (3″) wide steel press wheel, which also sets the sowing depth. The sowing depth can be changed quickly without any tools, and is adjustable in 5mm increments.
